There is always something magical about the transition from Summer to Autumn, that crisp refreshing air, the sound of the leaves falling to the ground, and the prospect of a fresh start around the corner. For me going into autumn is a time to embrace darker colours, to light every candle in sight, and to slather on thicker creams to keep skin moisturised throughout the winter weather. Today I will be sharing 5 of my current favourite products I have been loving using over September and October.
Sanctuary Spa, thermal detox mask
This is a product I like to whip out every A/W; it is just the most gorgeous and rejuvenating mask on the high street. Much like other charcoal fave packs, this just gives your skin a quick deep cleanse, ensuring that your skin is super clean and also bringing back a little moisture to the skin of an evening.
Naked Basics Palette
I have been re-loving my basics palette this Autumn, its perfect for creating a gorgeous natural Smokey eye when I fancy toning down the eye makeup or wearing a bright lip. The colours are so natural and gorgeous, and I love to just create a subtle look for cosy days in, or just doing day-to-day chores. I tend to use foxy on my brow bone and blend in Faint and Naked 2 on my lid.
Kiehls creamy eye treatment
This is my saviour product for the winter months, probably the creamiest, most luxurious eye cream on the market, this avocado enriched cream is a pleasure to use of an evening. I dab a little on my wrist, rub to make a watery consistency then slather all over my eye area and the next morning my eyes look and feel so refreshed.
Maybelline colour sensational in Sultry Sand
Probably my go-to nude lipstick of the moment, this is the most gorgeous sandy nude colour to use day-to-day when you don’t fancy a bright lip. It’s also super moisturising and basically feels like applying a lip balm to your lips. As you can probably tell from the picture, I love adding this over my Topshop Whimsical to add a little moisture.
Benefit duo- Boi-ing Eye bright compact
This is one of the products I got in the benefit Christmas deal, see here, and I am already in love with it. The concealer is so good for under the eye dark circles and is also really creamy so doesn't leave wrinkle lines which is what I find most concealers do. I apply with my fingers and buff in with a concealer brush. I am equally loving the eye bright, which is basically an eye highlighter that I apply liberally under the eye and on the eye lid, and its quite incredible how glowing and awake my eye area looks after applying foundation over the top, just so healthy and gorgeous.
